We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Accounts and Technology Support person.
The desired candidate must be an individual who enjoys working within a small team. Someone who has a flexible approach to prioritizing and is comfortable building good relationships with staff and Members. This role will suit someone who is comfortable with numbers and has strong technology skills.
Requirements:
- Experience within accounts receivable and technology
- Numerical competence
- Effective oral and written English skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good administrative, organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and organize task efficiently
- Ease in communicating with colleagues and third parties
- Ability to work independently and ask for clarification where needed
- Comfortable in a working environment in which job responsibilities evolve as team needs change
Account Receivable Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist Financial Officer
Technology Responsibilities:
- Work with devices including PCs, Macs, laptops, servers, phones (Android & iOS), and networking equipment.
- Assist co-workers with installation, user support, troubleshooting, and system administration.
- Stay up to date by using the latest I.T. technology.
- Support a MAC and PC operating environment
- Ensure Inventory system is kept up-to-date, serial number registrations, software upgrades, hardware inventory, domain name registrations, etc.
- Assist with the purchasing, set-up and deployment of software and hardware
- Perform hardware upgrades and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Proactively address virus and malware
- Maintain cloud hosted environments • Maintain Avaya™ phone system
- Support Association’s Member Management System
- Maintain in-house servers
