Association
CREA is the
national organization, consisting of over
100 Real Estate Boards. CREA
is governed by Directors chosen from across
Canada--Regional Directors and Directors-at-Large.
CREA owns the certification mark "REALTOR®",
the REALTOR® logo and the MLS® Certification
mark and logo. Information on the appropriate
use of these symbols can be obtained by contacting
the Durham Region Association of REALTORS®.
The major areas of CREA's
emphasis are in political action at the Federal
level, legal issues effecting the industry
and education for its Members.
The 10 Provincial Associations are represented
federally by the Canadian Real Estate Association.
CREA has a full time
lobbyist at Parliament and also maintains
a Public Relations Department.

Ontario
Real Estate Association
Real Estate Boards in Ontario together form
the Ontario Real Estate Association.
OREA has Director's-at-Large, as well as
Area Directors. Its major areas of emphasis
are in education, political action at the
Provincial level and industry changes effecting
MLS®.
Just as the Durham Region Association of REALTORS®
represents its members primarily at the
municipal level, the 48 Boards in Ontario
are represented by the Ontario Real Estate
Association at Queen's Park.
